DESCRIPTION
A fantastic opportunity has opened up to join an award-winning, independent Insurance Broker as an Account Handler within their specialist scheme team. Based just outside Bolton, this is a fast-paced and varied role that would suit someone who thrives on building client relationships and delivering excellent service.
You\'ll take ownership of your own book, managing the full insurance cycle - from new business to renewals and mid-term adjustments. The role also includes an element of underwriting, using your judgment within a delegated authority. It\'s a brilliant chance to join a tight-knit, supportive team where your work makes a real impact.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with new and existing scheme clients.
- Handle all aspects of the insurance process including new business, renewals, MTAs, and queries.
- Underwrite risks within delegated authority levels.
- Provide clear, expert advice to clients, helping them understand what cover they need and why.
- Deliver consistently high levels of service and communication.
What we are looking for:
- Proven Account Handler experience in the commercial insurance sector.
- Great attention to detail and solid technical knowledge.
- Confident communication skills - both written and verbal.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at A-C/4-9.
