New Business Pension Administrator
Location: Sale, Greater Manchester
Salary: £26,500
NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a specialist financial services business who are looking to recruit an experienced New Business Pension Administrator to join their established SIPP Administration team in Sale.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pensions professional with a strong understanding of SIPP administration who is looking for a new challenge within a technical and supportive environment.
Working closely with internal teams, financial advisers and investment providers, you will be responsible for processing new business and ongoing SIPP administration while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
The Role
As a New Business Pension Administrator, you will manage a varied workload across SIPP administration, with particular responsibility for processing new business applications through to completion.
You will be expected to work with vigilance and accuracy, ensuring all requests are tracked, completed within agreed timescales and handled in accordance with regulatory requirements and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
" Day-to-day administration of SIPP arrangements
" Processing new business applications through to completion
" Completing pension transfers and investment applications
" Processing payments to investment providers and financial advisers
" Processing investment withdrawals and ensuring payments are made on time
" Handling general servicing requests including Letters of Authority, FSCS claims, DSARs and changes to agency or contact details
" Communicating promptly with advisers and members regarding any issues or additional requirements
" Tracking requests through to completion and maintaining accurate records
" Supporting projects and wider initiatives within the Administration team
" Assisting with other SIPP and SSAS administration when required, including SIPPs holding property portfolios
" Building strong relationships with advisers and clients and providing exceptional service
" Sharing knowledge and supporting less experienced members of the team
" Working within agreed Service Level Agreements
" Maintaining high standards of Quality Assurance across all areas of work
" Embedding effective risk management into day-to-day activities
" Handling and resolving complaints effectively and professionally
About You
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within the pensions industry, with strong practical knowledge of SIPP administration.
You will be technically capable, highly organised and comfortable working with detailed and numerical information. You will also have the confidence to ask questions when required and the ability to manage a busy workload without compromising accuracy.
You will have:
" Strong SIPP knowledge and administration experience
" A good understanding of pension rules and regulations
" Experience carrying out drawdown calculations
" Knowledge of bereavement benefit and divorce calculations
" An understanding of investment transactions and non-standard investments
" Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
" Strong organisational and multitasking skills
" Excellent numerical and customer service skills
" Strong written and verbal communication skills
" Confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders, including financial advisers and investment providers
" Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
" The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
" A positive and proactive approach to problem solving
" The ability and willingness to learn new processes, systems and skills
" A genuine commitment to continuous improvement and supporting the wider team
