DESCRIPTION
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mid-Corporate Account Handler to join our Birmingham team, supporting a portfolio of established commercial clients with annual premiums typically ranging from £10,000 to £35,000.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional looking to work with a varied and interesting portfolio of mid-market clients, taking responsibility for the day-to-day servicing of accounts throughout the renewal lifecycle.
You will work closely with Account Executives, clients and insurers to ensure a high standard of service is maintained, while using your technical knowledge, market awareness and negotiation skills to secure appropriate cover and competitive terms.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage and service a portfolio of Mid-Corporate commercial insurance clients throughout the renewal lifecycle.
-Assist with the preparation of renewal submissions, presentations and supporting documentation.
-Obtain and negotiate renewal terms with insurers and identify alternative markets where appropriate.
-Review existing policies and coverage to ensure they continue to meet client requirements.
-Handle mid-term adjustments, policy amendments, renewals and general account administration.
-Prepare risk presentations and approach appropriate insurance markets for quotations.
-Compare quotations and cover options, providing clear recommendations to Account Executives and clients.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance systems such as Acturis.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
-Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.
-Liaise with insurers regarding policy changes, documentation, claims queries and outstanding information.
-Confirm cover with insurers and ensure policies are processed accurately and within required timescales.
-Prepare renewal closings and ensure all relevant actions are completed ahead of renewal dates.
- Maintain accurate client and policy records on internal systems.
-Identify potential risks, issues or opportunities within client accounts and escalate where appropriate.
Qualifications
-Cert CII, Dip CII or working towards an insurance qualification would be advantageous.
-GCSE standard education or equivalent.
-Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets and practices.
-Demonstrable experience within a commercial Account Handler or Account Manager position.
-Previous experience servicing Mid-Corporate or larger commercial accounts is highly desirable.
