Salary: up to £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Full-Time | Permanent | Office-Based

Our Client are a Boutique Firm of Independent Financial Planners who hold an excellent reputation in the Industry for Providing bespoke Financial Planning Advice to high net worth individuals. Due to their continued growth now have an excellent opportunity for a talented Paraplanner to join their dynamic organisation to provide technical research and suitability report writing services to a team of financial advisers. The Paraplanner will need to ensure that the preparation of advice for clients is of the highest quality and delivered in an efficient manner whilst mitigating any risks to the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IFA Administrator or Junior Paraplanner looking to take the next step in their career and develop their technical paraplanning expertise within a supportive and professional environment.
The ideal candidate will have some existing IFA Paraplanning experience and ideally be part-way through the Diploma in Financial Planning.

" Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm.

The Role
Working closely with Financial Advisers, the outsourced Paraplanning provider and Compliance team, you'll provide important technical support and help ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality financial planning solutions and client advice.
You'll gain exposure to a broad range of technical areas, including suitability report writing, investment analysis, CGT calculations, chargeable events, cashflow information and client recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
" Provide technical support to the Financial Adviser team.
" Assist with the preparation of client recommendations and financial planning documentation.
" Draft clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports and client recommendation letters.
" Calculate and assess Capital Gains Tax (CGT) liabilities on investment disposals, including annual exemptions, allowable losses and asset histories.
" Undertake chargeable event gain calculations for investment bonds and liaise with providers where required.
" Gather, verify and analyse client information, including fact finds, policy details, valuations and cashflow reports.
" Liaise with product providers and platforms to obtain information, quotations and up-to-date investment valuations.
" Monitor workflow and ensure tasks are completed within agreed service levels and compliance requirements.
" Maintain accurate and compliant client records on CRM and back-office systems, including Intelligent Office.
" Support the Compliance team in ensuring documentation and advice processes meet FCA requirements.
" Act as a point of contact for Advisers regarding technical queries.
" Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems and documentation standards.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
" Previous experience within an IFA Paraplanning or Financial Services environment.
" Experience supporting Advisers with technical and administrative aspects of financial planning.
" Ideally be working towards, or have commenced, the Diploma in Financial Planning.
" Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
" Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
" The ability to interpret and analyse financial information accurately.
" Good knowledge of financial planning products and processes.
" A strong understanding of the importance of FCA compliance and accurate record keeping.
" Confidence using IT systems and back-office platforms, ideally Intelligent Office.
" A proactive approach and willingness to continue developing technical knowledge.
