Training & Competence Monitoring Supervisor (Mortgages)
Stockport Area (Hybrid - 2-4 days WFH)
Salary: £50,000

We are currently recruiting for an experienced T&C Supervisor to support the delivery and development of a robust T&C framework within a dynamic financial services environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong regulatory knowledge and coaching ability to play a key role in improving adviser performance, ensuring compliance, and driving better customer outcomes.

The Role
You will support the application and ongoing development of the Training & Competence (T&C) scheme, ensuring advisers operate in line with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Acting as part of the first line of defence, you will monitor performance, identify risks, and provide coaching and development support.

Key Responsibilities
" Maintain and embed the T&C scheme, ensuring adherence across all areas
" Conduct observations across product areas, providing constructive feedback
" Hold regular 1-1s with advisers to review performance, KPIs, and development needs
" Create and manage tailored development plans to improve adviser capability
" Deliver coaching and training to enhance quality of advice and customer outcomes
" Support and deliver induction training where required
" Build strong working relationships across departments
" Ensure accurate and timely record keeping in line with T&C requirements
" Handle complaints in line with company procedures
" Promote a strong conduct risk culture, putting customers at the heart of decisions

What We're Looking For
Essential:
" Minimum 2 years' experience within financial services
" At least 1 year's experience within a T&C or compliance-related role
" Strong understanding of FCA regulations
" Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
" Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
" CeMAP (or equivalent) qualification
" Formal compliance qualification

Key Skills
" Ability to coach, mentor, and influence others
" Confident in challenging constructively
" Strong planning and organisational ability
" Able to work independently and as part of a team
" High attention to detail and record-keeping standards
" Results-driven with a client-focused mindset
